This is true,.. but they did not have his cell number which they would've needed to intercept his call. Plus, he probably had a descrambler built into it anyway so it probably wouldn't work anyway. Also,.. it's the GPS that they would use to do that, not the GSM (global standard of mobile service). :D

It just seemed like an easy Single Point of Failure that could have been exploited by the good guys…once the device was found, they could revive the data connections to the building, and use it to reverse all activity.

And once they found it, they did exactly that. Are you thinking Edgar is involved in the terrorist activity because he could've stopped it sooner but didn't?

Honestly I'm trying to figure out how he knows how to regulate a Nuclear power plant, and do all of his daily-required tasks at CTU. I mean, talk about your jack of all IT trades...it's ridiculous the crap he knows!

And I’m glad the black guy kicked some a$$, we needed some more hero’s with balls, jack isn’t enough, and Tony A is still playing that pu$$y “I’ve been wronged by the government” role. For what he did last season, I can’t believe that Jack would ever trust him, especially now, he’s out of touch, but just like that, back in the game…it spells bad.

And the Directors psycho kid, she should have been strapped down and completely comatose on tranquilizers while all of this was going on…too many distractions. How stinking predictable that she would kill herself at the precise moment that the power plants are back under control…takes the mind off of the important tasks, and now the next plot thickens.

I don’t know, I still think the show is better than Alias, but it’s pushing envelopes that stretch plausibility.

I too thought that whole "Crazy Daughter" plot line was weak from the start. Glad she is out of the picture. She would come on and it's suddenly time to get a beer. Now she won't be stealing time from the rest of the show.

Dude,.. you hit the nail on the head. Edgar has to be the smartest IT guy on the planet. That guy can do ANYTHING. Amazing.

And yeah,.. Tony has always been kinda a wuss based on what I've seen. I haven't watched Season 3 yet so don't spoil it for me ok? :D

I think they were trying to capture something from Season 2, but it didn't even come close.

Jack had instructed his daughter to get the hell out of town before a nuclear bomb (smuggled into the country) was expected to go off. Her trail tribulations were great…she had kidnapped a kid she nannies for, to protect the girl from her parents, stole the guys car, his wife (I think this was what happened) was in the trunk dead, the car was reported stolen, she gets arrested and charged with that murder, and kidnapping, then extradited, her and her boyfriend get in a wreck with the cop during the transportation, he’s hurt, she goes on without him, finds a pervert, takes his gun, gets pinned down in a convenient store holdup by accident, the guy gets her gun, the cops go nutz, then she has to say goodbye jack, cause he’s flying the plane that had the bomb on it. Some phucked up $h!+ for a teenager to deal with!

So, in season 3, jack gets her a job at CTU, so he can keep an eye on her, and keep her safe. Yeah right!!!

As all such calls are routinely monitored an encrypted call should have brought up a red flag at one of those super sectret NSA listening posts.

I feel this show would be a whole lot better if it was on cable. Elisha's body parts would be even more of a ratings boobst.

This is true. They might have disabled the GPS on the phones. Who knows. Those writers could make just about anything up to cover their mistakes. :D
