Cannot Logon
I cannot get into windows at all. I just installed WMCE 2005 full version onto a no os drive. I get through the setup with a pxshare.exe error. It then asks for my name and I put it in. I get to the logon screen two icons, myself and my wife and I click on one, both require passwords that I did not enter nor know.
"The system cannot log you on due to the following error: The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.
Please try again or consult your system admin."
Problem is I cannot get windows through safe mode because windows wants a password then also....
HELP
ps. I have no domain and I cannot choose to logon locally.

Had the same issue a few weeks ago. Had to clean the drive and reinstall to get it working.
Is there another way?

reboot into safe mode
login as administrator (no password)
go into the user control panal and change (or remove) user account passwords.

Nope, wouldn't work.
Even in safe mode it demanded a password , even for the administrator. In normal mode it kept trying to log onto a domain and gave the error
"The system cannot log you on due to the following error: The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted"
Never found a way around it, had to format the HD and reinstall.
