Hp 4000TN
from the printer info menu on the unit, any attempt at printing from any of the trays will result in an error 52, cycle power. Hp's site says just cycle the power and if it continues to contact them for repair.
I wanna know what part is/maybe bad so I can give the customer a rough estimate before sending it out and have it costing him big $$$.

While I don't have the manual for your particular model number, I do have the Handbook for most of the earlier LaserJets. Usually, the error codes stay the same...
Anyway, an Error 52 means "Incorrect Scanner Speed." They are refering the the laser scanner motor that scans back and forth across the print drum of the toner cartridge. Depending on the model, it says to check the scanner cable, scanner motor, DC Controller PCA, etc.
Go here for parts breakdown for your LaserJet.
Hey, I just found HP LaserJet4000, 4050 and 5000 Family Printers - Numerical Control Panel Errors.
Good Luck!

According to HP the fix is to replace alot of friggin hardware in the thing. I had a tech come out and look at it and we had to replace almost everything in the printer to get it to work. This is a known issue with HP and they are trying to find out what is causing the issue in the first place. Let me know how it goes.
