Dial-up reconnection
hey..
simple question..
i'm using a uab ADSL modem to connect to the internet.
now suppose after the computer starts up, the only action i do is connect to the internet (using the dialer) and after a while the connection is lost for some reason.
is there a way for the dialer to redial the connection without loading IE or other program that needs a connection and will ask for a connection ??
thanks!!

Most of the time if you connect an adsl modem to a system it auto sees the connection. You can access the modem by using the browser ip address for that particular modem example 10.0.0.138.
In there you set the preferences and set it to be always connected.

umm.. Most usb adsl modem install a fake ethernet adapter
and yes you should be able to access it via an ip and configure it there. You may need some software.
