You didn't mention which version of WinDoze you're using...
Anyway, go here for your LaserJet. There are links on the left-hand side of that webpage for FAQ's, Solve a Problem, Setup & Installation, etc.
You might try clicking on Setup & Installation and follow the bouncing ball.
Also, go here for LaserJet 1100 Manuals. Select the language you want...
