Looking for employment myself as it happens.
Planning on starting my MBA course in January 2006.
Cleaning up the laptop too :p

I think -ed was referring to "brown nosing". But, that may not be necessary. Why don't you just help the current uni tech out with his job, sort of like volunteering (like you do here), and not just making him or her seem like a joke. After a while, the "powers that be" will indeed notice, and soon that "cushy" job may just be yours. Colleges really like those that volunteer at first. He gets $40 an hour to sit on his *** and reset passwords - help him?? He won't be taught anything, I would just end up doing it all and him still being paid $40 an hour.
I post here because (for the most part) people learn, not because I want to do other people's jobs for them.
