Diving in Hawaii we pull the octopus out of the rocks and play with them, but here at home in the Puget Sound they play with us! This is why the only sharks around here are 90 feet deep and deeper! :thumbs2:

 Who would have guessed that?? That was Awesome.
The giant pacific octopus has a problem solving ability similar to that of a feral cat, whose intellegence is somewhat more advanced than that of felis domesticus. Pretty amazing for a mollusc. Most interesting creatures. (Edit: a lot smarter than the dog fish the one in the video takes down.) As jitBob probably knows, they are very curious, and one must take care of one's mask and mouth piece.
Someone at the Vancouver Aquarium told me that they once had a mystery on their hands. Fish and crustceans were disappearing from tanks everywhere. Finally one of the octopi was caught in the act. It was doing a Houndini-like escape from its tank at night and going for a behind-the-scenes out-of-water stroll, treating the greater acquarium as its own personal smorgasbord.
That was amazing. It reminds me of Jules Verne's 20000 Leagues Under the S :) ea

It's not really like throwing a ball or frisbee for your pooch or dragging around a catnip mouse on a string for your cat, though, is it? :)
