Printing Issues

I am running Windows XP Home Edition and I have A lexmark Z53 Printer.

I have dowloaded XP drivers from the Lexmark website and have got my printer working but the problem is when I print something it takes ages to spool to the printer and the more detailed document I print the longer it takes.

I have tried reinstalling the drivers and software but have had no luck until today I thought this maybe a problem with my system.

I set up up a Lexmark X73 printer for a friend who is also running XP Home Edition and it is the same problem on his system.

Does anyone know how to resole or is Windoes XP or are these just dodgy drivers from Lexmark.

I'm currently using a X83 under WinXP Pro and haven't encountered anything like what you describe here.

For the Z53 problem, what spooler settings are you using?

My printer spooler seetings are set to the same as yours my print processor is Lexmark Z53 Print processor but my default data type is set to RAW where as your is set to LEMF

Could this be the problem?
