If you have a laptop computer with WLAN 802.11b, is it worthwhile to upgrade to 802.11g?
Depends. What do you use the connection for? Are you just connecting to broadband Internet? Chances are the existing wireless connection can move data faster than your ISP. If your current router or WAP doesn't already support 802.11.g, a G adapter for your notebook is just going to fall back to the B standard anyway.
On the other hand, if you do lots of data transfer over a WLAN and your current system supports the G standard, or you're willing to spend the money to upgrade, do it.
Wireless g provides more throughput and a wider range but like slgrieb said if you are just using it to browse the net and you really don't have any connection problems then just leave it where it is.
