Gatorland fire burns attraction
Gatorland has been around here for 57 years and faced many crisis but fire wasn't one of them. For those of you that aren't familiar with Gatorland it is a small animal park in Kissimmee, that has been around for 57 years. No thrilling rides, or virtual reality, just many live animal attractions and small shows.
In the early AM on Monday November the 6th a fire torched the gift shop and office area, destroying the famous landmark that has appeared in many movies including National Lampoons Vacation. The facility houses more than 1100 alligators and a gaggle of other animals. Thankfully only three animals were thought to be killed, two snakes and a dwarf crocodile.
Gatorland owners aren't letting it stop them. They are constructing a makeshift entrance and plan on rebuilding it all. They are even planning on exapnding. I have been there several times if you want to see the Florida wildlife it's a great place.
