Steve what do you mean? usb 1.1? What windows version do you have?
Yes its a USB 1.1, Tryed several drivers already and none seem to work, wish I could find my softwear. Thanks everyone!:uke: Windows XP MCV 2005
So do you want to try and fix it?
What windows do you have?
Do you have a branded pc like time, or hp or compaq? If so, what make and model?
Windows XP MCV 2005, Dell computer, Demention E310. Would like to fix it.
USB will work fine on Media Centre
What exactly did you do with the drivers?
Did you plug the scanner in first or when the software asked you to?
Do you have any other usb devices? Do they work?
Just looked up the Dimension E310 - it didn't come with media centre, did you put media centre on? What is the service tag on the back of the computer?
Computer went south, friend tryed to fix it but had to clear everthing out, reinstalled the Windows. Can't find my driver for the scanner. Have most everthing working, but the scanner and don't have any sound.
Service Tag: FXVCX81
OK, please answer the questions
Did you download the driver from the links above?
Do you have any other usb devices and are they working ok?
Are you sure you have windows media center? Why didn't you put back Windows XP?
The Service tag you gave is for a OptiPlex GX620 not a Dimension E310. Which is it?
Have you done all the windows updates?
Right click my computer, select properties - what service pack is shown?
Tryed to download, came up couldn't find scanner on both, the printer is working, Have Windows XP MCE version 2002, Dell E310 FKVCX81, had left the K out before.Have all updates, service pack #2
Here is the dell driver page for your machine Start by downloading and installing the chipset drivers.
When you installed the scanner drivers, did you plug in the scanner before you installed the drivers or did you plug it in when the driver install requested that you should? If you plugged it in before the software requested you to, boot to safe mode, uninstall the agfa drivers, remove the scanner from the usb port and reboot to normal mode. Install the driver, reboot and then plug in the scanner when the computer has got fully to desktop (no eggtimers anywhere). Does window react at all?
When you plugged in the scanner, did it light up? Is the power connected properly?
Have you got real player installed? This sometimes does odd things to scanners. If you have uninstall it and then run this to fix any autoplay problems you might have.
Have you tried using the xp scanner and camera wizard?
