He shows up occasionally on Randy Bachman's CBC show, as well.
His recording career kind of lost direction. I think the labels wanted to push him more towards mainstream MOR pop/rock (Angel Eyes). They also wanted him to dump his backup band, his friends who had worked with him and supported him for a long time. I don't think Jeff was overly cooperative.
I understand he is struggling with cancer.
He has a reputation as a really nice guy.
