No Problem, glad i was able to help you out. :thumbs:
Curious though, but why did you need ie6?
In the UK, the ECDL course will ONLY work in IE6 - I would imagine that this is not the only course like it :)
Installed Win 98SE for a friend on his old computer and IE5 just doesn't cut it anymore
My apologizes for old thread posting but it just might be important to somebody to learn that MS still has IE files on their servers and they are not very busy these days. For IE 6.00 SP1 get this:
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...S/ie6setup.exe
Then double click it to begin downloading all the rest of cab files for US english IE 6.00 SP1. Note the term finrel in the url which stands for final release - there was a change which only amounted to a newer vgx.cab file being released (9/25/05 982KB) but it's still a good bet that not all of the archives have the final release version (vgx.dll 6,0,2800,1411). Change the language by substituting out the EN-US part of the url for the desired language. Download and archive them all before they are gone for good.
IE 5.50 SP2 users can still get their fix at:
http://www.download.windowsupdate.co...n/ie5setup.exe
Then you want to make this into a text file called iebatch.txt and include this file in the same directory as the above ie5setup.exe such that it will re-direct the old downloader to the newer url and then it will find all the old cab files needed.

DownloadLocation="http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/ie55sp2/x86/en"

SetupMode=1
[Reboot]
Reboot=0
[End]
Again different languages are still hosted, go get em while the getting is still good.
This might help with the collection of the proper files:
Downloading Internet Explorer for a different operating system
