The infamous Storm worm, which powered a network of thousands of compromised PCs once responsible for sending more than 20 percent of all spam, appears to have died off.
Now if we could only get rid of the other 80%...
Hmmmm, your saying get rid of all the malware? Ouch that would put me out of business. :) 90% of my business comes from those good ole boys. Hehehe
Unlikely that anyone or any organization will rid us of all malware. It's far too lucrative a market. But 20% is a very nice drop for the time being.
Although it would have been a lot more satisfying if there was some dismemberment or drawing and quartering or something like that
The war against malware wasn't won here, but it was a significant victory nonetheless. It also marks a major step forward in terms of the industry policing itself. Still, I think you're off the mark when you refer to dismemberment or drawing and quartering. I'm certain you meant "and" in place of "or". I think flaying is a good warmup exercise.Quote:
