Doing a google search I was able to find a list of tools with descriptions for various items HERE

The focus is on security testing. But there are network analysis tools, like wire shark, included.

I think something may be hoging down my home network's bandwidth so I'd like to be able to run something from my computer to monitor traffic (and spikes) that go though my router (simple router - LinkSys 4 port wired / wireless router).
