Router Suggestion

Have a client's office with 35+ pc's hooked to the network. I recently purchased a new router,(about 7 months ago), which is now having problems with intermittent and loss of connection. The router is a Linksys industrial, don't know the model at the moment. I have done 3 replacements in about as many years. This is a Doctors office and they are online all day long with the medical records being web based. My question is, what router would you reccomend for a replacement, strong enough to handle this many PC's and would last longer then this? All help appreciated.

I am a big fan of Netgear, and to a lesser extent, D-Link. The Linksys routers have gone downhill IMHO since Cisco bought them out.

Where is the router... these things can overheat and quietly fry. Has the router still got a warranty?

The router is located in a wire room whicj is approx 14' x 12' very open and air conditioned. I believe it may still have a warranty however, the system would still be down to return under the warranty. They just want it fixed. I figured to get a new router and return this under warranty and have a spare for this office as a backup.

Is it plugged into a power block that has anti-surge? Does the phone line go through the anti-surge too?

I'd agree and add that I've been pleased with the performance of 3Com's Business Connect series.

Router is plugged into battery backup, (APC/UPS) no phone lines plugged into it.

Thank you, will check out the 3Com. Last I heard there was issues not being as well made as it used to be though.
