Static

At work, I am using a Dell Optiplex with Soundmax integrated audio with Altec Lansing ACS51 speakers. Win2000. I get static when I listen to MP3s. The same MP3s play fine on home pc or in car.. No matter what volume, static. All drivers are updated. What causes it?

Could be most any type of interference. Soundmax ain't the greatest.

maybe EMI too many electronic devices surronding each other.

If its the GX100 series, ive got the same model and mine works fine, listening to Rob Zombie as i type this. So its probably Interference.
