Must be the beginning of printer week. Have a printer installed on a brand new Laptop. When printing from a program it goes out like it is printing but nothing happens. After comparing it to another laptop, the only difference on the settings is under the port settings. The laptop that works has "Description " Advanced/TCIP and the laptop that does not print has "Description" Standard/TCIP. How do you change the port settings to Advanced?
I should imagine its an entirely different port
Likely you have to install a new TCP/IP port and select advanced.
Hmmm, I tried creating a new TCPIP port but all It came up with was "Standard TCPIP. Thoughts?
What brand printer? HP? Brother?
The printer is an HP LaserJet 1600n series. I reinstalled the software again today and was able to get it to come up with the advanced/TCIP setting. Now I am waiting to hear if it is printing thru the Citrix application. This was the problem I ran into.Quote:
