Mac monitors

I need to know whether an Apple Macintosh monitor can work with a PC with or without any modifications or converters. The monitor I am referring to in this case is the Hatachi RasterOp Mc 7515 19" monitor and it was hooked up to a PowerMac 8100.

A link to the specs on that monitor would also be appreciated, as I can't find anything.

You do need a converter to use a MAC monitor with a PC and vice versa.

What is the difference between a Mac monitor and PC monitor? Is it just the pin configuration that's different?

Don't know the difference, but I am 100% positive you need a converter..I just picked up an Apple (sony) Trinitron 20' for $149....came with a converter...

Got my convertor for £15 on ebay.

I wonder if a converter would work for those kick@ss wide-screen clear LCD monitors?

Looks like all the RasterOps Mc 7515 monitor is, is a re-badged CM751 with a Mac adapter included. Although, in my case, no adapter is included.

I hooked it up to my machine and man is it great. It's a little older than my other 19", but it has really good dot pitch (.22mm versus .26mm). Besides, if I keep it, I only have to pay $100.

My only gripe is that I can't find a users manual anywhere. If anyone has one, please PM me, as I'd like to ask you a few questions about the OSD.
