To anyone and everyone that I made cry, I am sorry. The only times I do remember being edited were things I wrote about AMD vs Intel, or were sexual inuendos (in which many people took part in). I believe suwulo is wrong about this, but either way I give my appologies in advance, or later, or whatever.

I did not mean to come off as a dick in my earlier post, but I guess I did, and for that I appologize.

I have learned that even though this is a forum where "Everything NOT pertaining to PC/computer support type stuff such as your choice of underwear, your boss or anything else within reason!", unless you have an insane ammount of posts, you can't post anything silly, raunchy, or down right dumb, without coming under fire from numerous peoples.

So I will take sowulos advice and leave...

I don't know what other people think, but a classy apology always indicates to me that a person is worth my time. Sorry to see you leave, gxavier.

With regards to the insane number of posts, I have an insane number myself, and I think if I posted something offensive Sowulo or someone else would come down on me for it.

The point was a lil justice and getting even, which is nice to see when someone deserves it. And the after effect was, you left.

And no, this 'unless you have an insane ammount of posts' you can't say anything out of line -- well, I remember a long while back in the lounge I posted 'Sowulo's my hero' and the description was 'made you look' -- did people comment, sure, some thought it was funny, others thought it was stupid, and you take the heat for it....

Sorry all but reread that 'apology'. That barely even qualifies as a 'backhanded' apology. An apology doesn't turn around and argue let alone criticize the population who diserves the apology. I have to agree with gxavier. I wouldn't pay $350 for any watch...particularly that one. While I do applaud PS for getting over on the guy...

I noticed that after gxavier posted something similar he also added nice buy or something along those lines. I see that he edited some of his post, so I ddint see the whole thing but I still dont see why everyone jumped on him...

I went back and re-read waht I could and what wasn't edited by Sowulo, and I think everyone that jumped on gxavier was waaaaay to harsh. When I read his post, I didn't get anything negative out of it.

Actually im just leaving the Lounge. For 200 posts or so. ;)

I am gonna add my two bits here as I see things continually repeating itself. If someone posts something like that...ignore it...Do not feed the trolls....The more it is added to the bigger the slanging match becomes. Everyone here is of different ages and different backgrounds..and Hey....we don't get along with everyone we meet IRL..so why should it be any different here....its all a matter of opinions and everyones is different...ok some people act like dycks..no different to IRL everywhere you go in life including cyberspace they exist....unfortunately not everyone can like everyone else or be liked by everyone else....but for the younger less mature members...a bit of patience and Maturity is required to deal with them.......everyone has to learn somehow and I guess that some people have to learn the hard way...
and as for the packing up of toys and going home...the threats to leave and the so called last posts.....that is so childish, its been done to death by other members in the past and it just gets boring...usually if one does not like the place they are, they leave..quietly.....The moderators are here to do a job and they do it.....once again not everyone likes their supervisors or bosses IRL but they are not questioned or hassled like the mods here for their creative editing skills....if anyone posts a super offensive post, it doesn't matter who they are they can expect the wrath of the mods almighty delete button.....
anyway thats all I wanted to say...if someone does post a wanker post, ignore it and let everyone else get on with their happy posting..........(I know I know...I can hear you saying it now....Just like I ignored this one) :) :) :)


Postscript......I wouldn't pay 350 pounds for a watch either but thats only because I can't afford it...if I had money to spare and it was maybe purple and real purty....then yes I guess I would spend that sort of money on a watch....I was working out the conversion of the original value of the watch at 1500 pounds and that works out to be about $4500AU :eek: :eek: :eek: ........WOW all I can say is congrats.....what a bargain.....

Thank you. The simple straight forward apologies do work. And to all concerned...I really don't enjoy edited/deleting posts. The only reason I got involved was the persistence and most of the others involved in that little flame-out were scolded around a bit as well through other means. No one is innocent when these things happen. No one. Again Gxavier, thank you.

Thank you. An true honest apoligy was all we wanted. We were just attempting to bring to light how your actions were offending people, and we were attempting to correct that. I wasn't attempting to start any type of war or get you to leave.

I also need to apoligize for my part in the situation. I should not have gotten involved, but the post simply rubbed me the wrong way. I'm a pack a day smoker, and havn't been able to smoke the last few days due to some surgery. The medication I'm on also has made me pretty irratable. Though that's not an excuse, it's the truth. I usually try to stay away from such threads, because I'm not a confrentational person by nature. Again, I'm sorry for promoting that thread, I feel like my posts blew up a situation that wasn't going to be such a big deal. I took matters into my own hands as opposed to asking Sowulo or other mods to step in. We're not asking for you to leave, just be more cautious as to how you post. To be more aware of other's feelings when you post. I accept your apoligy, and I hope you accept mine.

No problem. We all played a role, but what it boils down to is if I hadn't posted in the first place, well, there wouldn't have been any repercussions.

my apologies confus_ed...I edited my scrolling remark. I e-mailed xgavier to apologize and ask if he would delete this thread...so hopefully this will get read before he does. I've been under a huge amount of stress lately and I won't suffer you the details because it all ends up being an excuse. Truth is my drinking has gotten way out of hand. I didn't even remember the e-mail exchange with xgavier 'til I checked the Forums this morning. :(

I'm going on hiatus for a while from WD. Get back to my music...see if I can come up with something with NooNoos' lyrics. I'll still check in from time to time, but until then...

This whole thing has never been about who would spend what on a watch. That point is totally irrelevant. The whole point, is the negative connotations that the post represented like I've said before. It just pisses me off when someone can't say something positive to someone else. Is it so hard to just say something encouraging to someone? I understand that nobody's perfect, and we all have our off days. I've posted negative things plenty of times. But when it's common all the time, then that's when it starts to be a problem. Wasn't this site designed with the sole intention of "helping" others? Am I wrong about that? And everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion. Simply posting "I wouldn't spend that much on a watch" comes off as a derogatory. A more positive way of posting that might be, "I would never spend that much on a watch, but I think it's really great that you found a watch that you like."

Anyway, that's great that you posted an apology here gxavier. I hope I didn't come off as trying to bash you in that thread. If you notice, my original post asked questions. I posted, "Maybe you're just having a bad day?" in that post. I'd like to think that I give everyone the benefit of the doubt because I always hope that people will do the same for me. Anyway, that's pretty much all I have to say about the whole thing.
