first guy is 63/139 second is 50/100 . second has higher percentage.

The higher the floor, the higher the button is on the control board in most cases, so he must be too short to reach it. If it was raining, he would probably have an umbrella and be able to hit the button with it, if someone was on the elevator, he could ask them to push it.

the pack was a parachute, the man must have been being transported by air or jumped out of a very high window as that would explane the lack of tracks in the area. as the parachute did not open he died from deceleration trauma.
