"Well that's a nice greeting I must say." was the reply, "when it is I who has roused you from your drugged induced laze in the sun. What have you been drinking anyway?"
"I remember drinking something Daphne, my long dead mother gave me, but I thought I was only dreaming."

A PSYCOLOGICAL TRIP WITH street1
So,I was sitting around in my bedroom last night playing a little Bob Dylan and CCR on my guitar.PeckerWood was 'of course'sitting in his little bird
chair in the corner patting his foot and critical of any note I may miss.
I then remembered a few months back,when my brother-in-law was in the
hospital.All the youth in the family were sporting their Cell Phones.Oh! at the flavors and varieties they have made.
My sister-in-law wanted her son up there with her so she asked"Will someone please call Micheal and have him come right up please"?
Cell phones came out like weapons on Star Trek,and no one could get a good signal in the hospital.
They were all moving around confounded and lost,When my sister-in-law looked over at the table in the corner of the waiting room and said"Why can't
we just use the telephone"?
She walks over picks up the phone calls her son,then turns around and says"Kids the telephone has never failed me".
Me and PeckerWood and I had to leave the room for our ROTFLMAO.

In the meantime, Sophie gave everyone a glazed look and ..
... rejected this reality, replacing it with her own.

She now stood on the beautiful sun-drenched beach, alone with wee Tommy, all grown up. They were both tastifully atired in fine kilts and puffy silk blouses. Somewhere, in the background, the soft skirling notes of a bag pipe wafted in on the warm afternoon breeze. (Or, maybe someone was stangling a cat with a vacuum cleaner in the village?)
"Come hither, my pet!" she purred, sitting down on one of a pair of lounging chairs.
Tommy, Calabash in hand, sauntered over to the proffered seat and flopped down on it. "What wust thou of me, fair maiden?" he asked in a very awkward, yet strangely endearing fashion. "I am at your disposal, heart and soul. Speakest thou thine wishes and I shalt comply, forwith,... or even sooner!"
Sophie looked at the odd Scot in perplexed confusion. What the heck had happened to her reality?
She thought .... "Heck I am spending so much time in lounging chairs these days and now Wee Tommy all grown up was not making an ounce of sense. What planet was he from anyway?"
..and as Sophie's eyes crossed each other in an effort to work out where Tommy all grown up was coming from, she passed out, stars in her eyes, something had just dropped out of the heavens onto her head !
(And as an aside, the 'Drink a Pint and a Half a Day Campaign' is going well, been out with a couple of mates, I've drunk my Pint and a Half of Fruit Juice tonight ...)
And as Sophie lay in a fainted stupor ...
....... along the sun-soaked beach came a small circus from a distant nebula as yet un-named but faintly visible to the eye of someone from that nebula, abandoned here by cruel fate and... - but I digress - so these circus types were ambling along and espied Sophie in her stupor.
The chappie who guessed peoples' weights immediately unpacked his scales, loudly shouted '112 pounds soaking wet' and had his weigh with the slumbering lass.
She topped the scales at 111, so the chappie was once again within the 3-pounds-either-way weighing rules and felt content.
A somewhat rumpled and recently manhandled Sophie dreamt of......

dreamt of......her regular old home with the water going where it belonged,instead
of to the hospital ,to assist some one on their day after the birthday hospital fun
surprise.The lady in waiting smiled and thought.Why do American doctors have a
propensity to demand a gallon of liquid for the same exercise."Bad !Bad !Old American
doctors she thought".Then Sophie started skipping around and singing a song about
peaches and some other kind of fruit she had ate at the old planet.Neighbors were by
now...............................
Wilst upon a great white stallion the Master Sargent of the WOTPP'ers galloped frenickly across the beach all the wile shouting; "Post pad +1."
Obviously interupted by some dude on a great white stallion galloping across he beach yelling some nonsence about paying postage or something.
Sophie and wee Tommy along with the circus bloke who guesses your weight called for the psyciatrists and had the dude committed. Being way back in the days of herbs and leaves for medical treatment, he was fed potions and admitted to a comfortable kapok padded cave until he could recover.
In the mean time.....

... but back into the world of fantasy or is it reality, on AstroStarCus, along came...
.... a detached military unit headed by General Anasth (weird monicker but so what) who ballyhooed and ranted about secret cells and wiping out the scourge and deep penetratioons and remarkable success rates with properly timed surgical strikes and, lastly, said, "Our prayers are always there with our friends and loved ones, whether they be old friends or new friends be that as it may!"
The General then set off again, his minions following smartly behind, and as the dust of their departure settled, a new happenstance occurred, which was............

His father having been a lounge singer in Las Vagas all the time he was growing up was probably the reason his mother insisted that he (the general) go to a military school. Added to these obvious disadvantages which the poor weeping general of the minions had to face, was the fact that at his military boarding school he was undernourished - accounting for his long skinny legs dressed in heavy boots.
But all this aside .......
there wandered along a young man who wanted to become a great writer.
"I want to write things the whole world will read," he declared.
"Stuff that will elicit strong emotions from people in every walk of life. I want my writing to make them scream, cry, howl in pain and anger."
He now lives happily ever after in Redmond, Washington., writing error messages for Microsoft ( yes this is a joke - not original - thought I would share it with you computer techs)
Not at all aware of what a computer might be, it behooved Sophie to make a choice.
To malinger longer here in the virtual lap of luxury and lair of decadence or to return to her WOTPP cave and resume her life of deprivement and hardship amongst the leaky plumbing, poor lighting, odd service chappies and various other unwelcome and decidedly unwholesome persons.
Sophie wracked her curly-blonde-hair-covered brain for an hour and a bit and then...................
...found some fleas and wondered, 'how did they get there?'
She could only conclude...

refused to return to having only just now decided after thumping her blond curly head that she had spent too much time lolling around. Instead she turned her back on all those silly dreams about computers and hospitals she had no idea about and headed for Wee Tommy who was all grown up now and not a bad looking hunk if she did say so herself.
..and as she headed for Tommy, she suddenly skidded to a halt and thought, 'what am I doing? All that washing, ironing, picking up dirty socks, putting the toilet seat back, listening to endless tales from the newspaper?'
So she turned back again and lay down on the sand, gazing at the sky, basking in the warm sun ... refusing even to think of pipes and mucky floors at home and workmen and women galore ...
'Zzzzzzzz' was all that could be heard.
Then suddenly..
Then suddenly......She realized Christmas was around the corner and she
had not bought gifts for the plumbers who needed...............................
...then she thought, 'I'll never get back in time'
AstroStarCus was thirty million miles away from the original Prehistoric Planet, so there was no way she could get back there for Christmas, so she was going to spend Christmas in the sun, away from the shops, cards sent from people she hadn't sent to, cards from people whose names she didn't even recognise?
So ... putting her head back on the cushion again, she ...
... saw a dark-haired girl called Robbie come dashing along.
Robbie saw Sophie lounging around and grabbed her hand and said, 'we're going back to the Planet. Sophie thought she was dreaming.
Then they went flying through the air, you got it, past galaxies and arrived back at the Planet in the shake of a Sophie's hair.
They arrived at Sophie's house, only to find the two lady decorators, the plumber, the handyman, the double glazers, the two electricians .. all waiting for their Christmas pressies.
So Robbie dashed off to the Shops and bought ..

to take with them to there mums house.......forgetting all about her promise
to Sophie. In came this new arrival Robbie wiggling like they do when...........

But Sophie threw a wad of wet leaves ( in the absence of a wet rag being back on the prehistoric planet as they were) at her to bring her back to her sences, that being they were modern woman who were not going to scrape and clean for gorgeous hunks of men who only want to chase balls around paddocks and hang around talking about sporting events that happened years ago demanding they be brought some cold brew and so on. After all it was Christmas just around the corner and she wanted....

Yes, as she was singing, 'All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth', Robbie decided she'd better dash back to the shops and buy some.
When she came back again, with two front teeth, Sophie said...

And as an aside, what a day, this woman went to hospital, waited from 7.30am until 2.30pm and not a lot done ! No 1 Lady got done, No 2 Lady got done, No 3 Lady got done ... then a piece of equipment (was it from this Planet?) fell onto the head of the Assistant Anaesthetist, so they couldn't do Lady No 4 aka me ... so I ate and drank, packed my case and came home again and have got to go through it all again tomorrow ... arrrgghhh !!
So I'll have an Action Packed Robbie please?

...to celebrate that there is nothing seriously wrong with Lady No 4 aka me of Monday, who on Tuesday was Lady No 1 ... and got done ... and at the moment, can't walk in a straight line and for ever will blame every spelling, memory, etc mistake on her first General Anaesthetic! And has been discharged from Hospital, yippee !!

One can only hope the Prehistoric Planet will be saved from such weather freaks ... and that the sun will shine, soft breezes blow and the sky will be for ever blue.

The mere thought of the pending doom, which awaits us all, was enough to brighten the old curmudgeon's day to a resplendent gloomy gray.
"Ah, your cat's mustache!" quipped wee Tommy, as he quaffed a pint of Harps. "You're as charming as a festering boil on monkey's arse!"
Then, a pack of howling hounds bounded in, stage left, with a large, rosted turkey in the slavering jaws of the lead dog.
