Dee Septor, the famous magician, wants to send his nephew, Justin Summers, a one-piece fishing pole for his birthday.
Since it's Justin's birthday the following day, Uncle Dee must send it by air mail. Dee is told that he cannot send the pole air mail since it is three inches longer than the airline regulations permit.
Dee Septor considers his problem for a moment and then realizes he can still send the pole without exceeding the airline regulations.
How can he package and ship the pole without bending or shortening it in any way?
__________
Ship it in a box where the pole would sit diagonally, corner to corner. This could shorten the length of the box, while increasing the width and depth.

Early start today because this one might take longer than usual.
Hints can be asked.
Question starts with a worth of 10 points, with 1 point deducted every time a hint is requested. 1 is the lowest score that can be given out.
Hints can only be asked in a format where the answers "yes" or "no" can be given.
The music stopped and the crowd in the tent watched as the blindfolded man fell to his death. The man was murdered.
How did it happen?
__________
The conductor murdered him.
The victim was a tightrope walker in a circus.
Ordinarily the band would stop playing when the walker had reached the end of the rope to signal such. In this instance, the conductor stopped the band early, and the walker assumed he was at the end. He stepped as if to walk onto the platform at the end of the rope, missed, and fell off.
Tent, music, crowed... Circus?Quote:

since he's blindfolded, let's assume that he's using the music to tell how farther he has to walk, music stoped... he was at the wrong spot and walked off the rope expecting a platform that was not there.
Thefore the conductor technicaly murdered him?
