On his way back, Neon saw his brother-in-law, Sid Shady. He stopped and a violent argument ensued. Sid picked up a rock and smashed it on Neon's forehead, killing him. Sid then put the dead body into the car.
Seeing Neon's sunglasses on the passenger seat he slipped them on Neon and then pushed the car off the road down a steep ravine.
When Shadow examined the body he declared that it was no accident but a heinous murder.
Why was Shadow convinced that Neon was murdered?
__________
The new lenses Neon wore from the optician were contact lenses.
Shady wasn't farsighted enough to realize Neon was wearing them and foolishly put the prescription sunglasses on him. The combination of the two would have drastically distorted his vision.
The sunglasses were prescription glasses...Quote:

I'm gonna have to go for bonus points as I'm too damn slow ... If he was 'super good' as a detective he'd have sufficient forensic skill to spot the difference between those injuries received before death & after, I'm not Quincey but its something to do with how blood clots etc ..Quote:

So there.
You watch CSI also, Ed?
Bonus point if you do. ;)
Shadow heard that Sid Shady had drawn up a detailed plan to rob a local bank.
He brought Shady in for questioning, and naturally Shady was struck with one of his memory lapses. Shady denied the existence of such a plan at first, but finally broke down and agreed to tell the truth.
Shady said he thought he was being tailed, so he ducked into the local library and hid his plan in a book. He said he was certain it was between pages 125 and 126, but he had been so intent on committing those numbers to memory that he had forgotten the name of the book.
"It's obvious you're lying," said Shadow.
Why would Shadow say that?
__________
Shady could not have hidden the plan between those two pages in any book.
Pages 125 and 126 are always on opposite sides of the same page.
Page 126 would be printed on the back of 125?Quote:

Two days later, Shadow summoned both Slug and Shady to his office and promptly arrested the guilty party.
Without any investigative work, how could Shadow be certain of arresting the right man?
__________
The stolen jewels were found in a poison ivy patch.
The guilty man had a bad rash.
One of them arrived in a limo?Quote:

So there yourself :p -if you are in the detective business its a well known fact 'allegedly' ! Shadow can't be a rubbish one can he ?!?
because the guilty party did not show up when summoned?Quote:

The bush the jewels were found in was poison/itchweed, so whoever showed up with poison or a rash is guilty????
There was a pair of glasses found in the bush, whoever shows up squinting is guilty???
There were beehives in the bush, so whoever showed up with beestings was guilty???
Or are all of these using "investigative work"???

Maybe they both work at the same gas station or some other form of business, and a piece of the guilty parties work shirt was found on the bush. Knowing he was summoning them during worktime, one would show up with a ripped shirt?
or perhaps they were bot guilty
A well deserved bonus point to you, sir.Quote:
