Yea! On checking again I find that Edmonton (Alberta) is much bigger in land area, over twice the size, but has only 900,000 population, less than a fifth (so it was near the bottom of the table & I missed it! (the table is in population order).Quote:

The top three on the all the lists I've found are all "Municipalities", which I take to be a number of smaller towns / cities agglomerated into 1.
Fourth is the City of Calgary, so I'll have a stab at that one....
There will probably, I think, when the truth is revealed, be a catch somewhere............
