Grew up with a parent that was VERY wanted in the field at that time! It hurts me when I have to show him what to do on the computer
My first science project for school (69, i think)was a white board (canvas) with capcitors, and the discription of the above.
He now comes and visits and I don't see my computer for a week at a time 'cause he's playing at pogo.com

I've been trained, and I'm certified, and I did play with the old TRS-80 back in the day =)
I wouldn't mind the hair turning gray, my problem is the hair falling out. Must be all the user.exe missing the brain.dll problems I deal with on a daily basis!Quote:

I have been in hardware now for eight years, since I was in high school. I used to be pulled out of class to fix computers, since the only person who was paid to do it didn't know anything past the IBM PC/Jr, and most of the school was Mac/486.

I am 24 now, I started out with a Commodore Vic20 when I was 10 or so. I've been working with computers in some form or another (personally or professionally) ever since

I'm 19, and a freshman computer science major at Western Illinois. Worked at bestbuy as a tech my junior and senior years of HS. I too know the feeling of being pulled out of class to fix some teachers computer, or one of the computer labs computers. It seems so long ago that it was fun to go to the big stores and format the hard drives on all the display computers!!
22, started on the Apple IIC, LOL, no paper MCSE here, good with Cisco too
20, this has been my profession for the last four years. Started out playing home made games on a Commodore, then I moved on to the DOS version of WordStar. After that is was straight to the big leauges, 8 or so years later that is. Right now I am a Network Engineer/MIS Manager. Not to shabby IMHO.
27 feeling 50 then maybe 15
