Btw you guys,... I can definately play the TF but I don't know what time I can start (may not be until like 9p est). I have to go to work and be there at like 4:30p pst to do a few things that just came up today (my day off). And as we all know, "a few things" in the computer world can end up taking a few hours. So if you guys start without me,.. then so-be-it. Hopefully I can make it. But if not,.. it's all good. :)

From what we can tell, we whizzed through the TF in about 4 hours with no healer on the team.

Aumakua's bubbles did the trick, Diverrr, Major Blaze and Buzzerbeater provided ample fireworks while Stalemate and that other guy... Nova Tiger (yeah, that's it) tried to get aggro from the toasters.

The screenshot I regret not taking is the one where you could have seen 2 groups each fighting a Babbage. There was even some confusion as to which team should have engaged which Babbage, but that was quickly resolved with some kind, respectful verbal interaction.

The team members were very supportive to each other to the point of being altruistically generous in DO sharing, everyone knew their roles and the only unfortunate event I think happened was Diverrr getting into debt (twice?).

The SO I got was an endurance cost reduction, so I was thrilled. Got to level 19 too.

Actually it was. I aggroed the spit out of a nest of Tinkertoys cause I thought I could scrap em by myself. I was wrong and they followed me out to the pack. :devil:

Team colours are black and amber (the "easiest on the eyes" monochrome monitors back in the day *sigh*).

The chest logo is identical to the Ghosts of War's - for consistency's sake.



My last act as lieutenant in Ghosts of War was to invite Sliverfang (lvl 17). You'll like him. His other toon is lvl 35, so experience is not in question. ;)

Cool,.. sounds like I missed out on a great time. I'll be on tonight. Yesterday I was stuck at work for a bit, then met up with a friend, then checked out Doom 3 for a bit.

Wow,.. thats cool that you guys are getting close to lvl 20. Now maybe I can get Raining Blood into POW and start using him again. I'm just really bored with the Jamez character. I do like the Super Jump feature though, but still.

I'll be online later this evening.

Aumakua is lvl 20 and got dispursion bubble (which is very nice) and a new costume. Total difference.

Webby: That's cool by me, getting Raining Blood into PoW and maybe keeping Jamez in GoW sounds like a good idea. Each SG would then have a higher lvl tanker.

The new costume goes with the whole Polynesian theme but Aumakua is all ripped and Mr. muscle when I kind of wanted him a smidge fat. Eh, guess all heroes have to be ripped or nothing.

Yeah, need to pick kid up, pick up PC parts for person I'm building for and then to boot it looks like the GF didn't apy an old phone bill for her old place and since the phone was in her name our DSL and other services are being suspended (I am fixing).

I slammed it out this weekend. One TF and one hunting group, the rest was solo. This is my fourth blaster so I know what works. Smoke is the key once you get higher up in level. With my R0land Deschain charachter on Victory I can solo mobs of 12 minions 2 levels up. But, it depends on the mobs though. Family mobs seem to go down easier than freakshow mobs. XP gets divided so soloing really bumps you up quick..

I'm pretty sure I'm down for a TF. Just say when ahead of time so I can schedule.

TF for me are possible tonight and the next 2 evenings this week.


Whatever happens with this one, is anyone up for another during the long weekend?

Devices as secondary power?

I just started a blaster (fire/dev) and spent the better part of my boring Monday reading up about levelling them solo. He's only level 5 now, but I get the feeling he'll eventually overtake my tanker.

I think I'm going to have fun with this one. :cool:

From my experience, trops and web grenade are key at low levels. Six slot your best primary damage weapon first and take them one at a time. I don't have a fire blaster so I don't know which power works best. I six slot slug first and add one recharge reduction and one accuracy, the rest damage. The targetting drone is ok at lower levels but it really kicks in at higher levels when you can get an SO tohit buff on it. I only two slot mine. When you can get smoke, take it. I slot mine with two accuracies and will later add a tohit debuff when I can find an SO. As you move up in level the trops will come handy for mobs if you have a good AOE power. My shotgun is also six slotted. I ignored the M30 with only one slot. I think a couple good six slotted weapons are much better than many 3 or 4 slotted ones. Blasters die quick but their fun to play. Make sure you always have a few respites on hand and don't be afraid to run. :D

I can't wait to get Raining Blood a cape. Thats gonna rock. :D

I've got a hankering to bring up my new blaster a bit tonight, but he's only at 5 now, which makes him outclassed by most of the other GoW toons.

What level is Neutramax now?
