Tough one, I think.

Explain why these words were put in the following sequence:

moral, friend, port, feet, race.

By adding the sound of the first five letters of the alphabet to the beginning of each word respectively, another word can be enunciated. Note that the spelling doesn't necessarily stay the same.

A-moral (amoral)
B-friend (befriend)
C-port (seaport)
D-feet (defeat)
E-race (erase)

By adding the first letter in Alphabetical order...
