Well at work we have a couple of Displays setup with Multiplayer Unreal Tournament, Quake 3, and Red Alert-Command and Conquer 2. I also like Diablo and Diablo II.

I used to love Wolfenstien 3d on my 286. That was the best. I think I may install it again just for old times sake.
I used to love Syndicate Wars... installed it for old times sake on my athlon ... dont ever remember it that fast on my 486 https://forums.windrivers.com/
Game of the moment is either Diablo II, or Counterstrike mod for Halflife... building a CS server for the office at the moment... should be fun
I agree with ya on the Wolfenstein, Doom, and Duke 3D. I still have the install disks for these (2 whole floppies!!) and play Duke on the network here.
Who else remembers when you'd get the shareware, and if you liked it you had to send your money right to the author to get the whole game??
OK... Here goes. CounterStrike for first person shooters, Diablo II for RPG (I love playing the barbarian) Mech Warrior (any of them 2 and later, just got 4 love it for Fictional Sim. Jane's F/A18 for real sims.

Who the hell is General Protection and why is he messing with my comuter?
Oh... I forgot my alltime favorite classic...
SCORCHED EARTH!
Tunnel under the enemy and fire a laser straight up or vertical guidence on a MIRV. Game cracks me up.

For all out violence, nothing beats the Resident Evil series. As far as FPS go, though, DOOM was the god back in the day, and it still rules.

Clatu...Verata...nnnn...necktie...nectur...nickel. ...it's definately an "N" word...
MAYHEM!!!!! You nailed it... I totally forgot about Scorched Earth! That was THE best game of the time. I would still play that if there was a newer version.
OK,
This may not be the most violent game ever, but does anyone remember Starflight, and Starflight 2. These games came out in the late 80's and early 90's. I know I was still in grade school, but I have never spent so much time in front of a computer. The map for this game was bigger than any other, before and since.

Baldur's Gate (any incarnation) and Quake 3 (have not played Half Life or UT yet). I know I am behind the curve, but.
Buddy of mine just got a game called Rune. Says it is great. Anybody played it yet?
Mechwarrior! any of 'em! Diablo and DII, Aliens vs Predator

Great game. Simple too. UT gets my vote overall.Quote:

Half-Life, Team Fortress great fun fragging friends on my network at home, and of course Diablo II. There's something special about killing hordes of enemies with the Barbarian

Born to Network
FPS (multiplayer): Half-Life's TFC
FPS (singleplayer): UT with the Excessive mod running. I lose waaay too many lunch hours to mowing down bot after bot in that.
RPG: D&D 2nd Ed (Greyhawk)
CRPG: Everquest

You did what? I'm sorry but that's not supported.
For FPS, Duke with the Barney patch releases some aggression... Damn purple ba$tard! And playing Half-life with just the crowbar is pretty cool.
Outside FPS, Starcraft may not be the most visually violent game, but it is still awesome!
OK, back to my Reader Rabbit Preschool Edition....
