I run my business out of my home
If I get 3 hours of sleep each night, I'm happy. Weekends get real tough, I have very little time to do any Hunny-Do's.
By the way ... What is this thing "A Vacation".

An obstacle is something you see when you take your eyes off your goal.
Getting in bed before 4:00am is a rare thing during the week, when i usually have to get up around 7-8am. On weekends I get in bed around 5 or 6am and get up around noon.
Well, last night i didnt go to sleep...but when i do go to sleep, its at about 3-4 in the morning....if i have to work...about 1 or 2 https://forums.windrivers.com/
I tell myself for weeks on end that I'm gonna go to bed early tonight, then end up staying up till about 1 or 2 in the morning and getting up at 7:30. After about 2 months of telling myself this, I finally do get to bed at about 10:00. Last night I was going to catch up on some sleep, but finally went to bed at 4:30 and got up at 9:00. Went back to bed at noon when the family went out and slept till 6:00. Now I'm good for another couple months.
Its now 12:11 on a Monday morning. I have to get up 6:30 to go to school(high school), and then at about 1 pm (13 hours from now) I will go to work untill 7 pm. And I will repeat this daily. I guess I really dont need sleep afterall. BTW, just installed WIN2K, and its Awsome. also, I now work for AOL Time Warner, ohh yay! I can now get AOL over Cable lines, just what I always wanted.

Well, I sleep from about 8 AM to 4 PM usually, but I have an excuse...I work 3rd shift. Nice and quiet too.

Well lets see....
I crash out around 1:30-2ish in the morning and usualy get up around 7:45 except the last 4 days I've gotten home around 4 ish and slept until 7:30. Now I cant freaking go to sleep. I'm usualy a night owl but the last few days are pushing it a bit. :-)

Usually I get to sleep about 1 ish, l8r on a weekend...
Weekdays up b4 8:00, start work at 9:00 (1 hour away) but if I'm back at HQ then I'm up at 8:30.
Finish at 5, so back home by 6!
Weekends I'm still up around 2-3, at lie in till 10... Man, I've got things to do!

Sleep? We sleep?
Seriously, I usually go to bed at around 1am. Sometimes as late as 2am. I have to get up for work at 6am.
After 10 hours of providing support for others, I get home at around 6pm. Usually eat dinner and crash on the couch until around 10pm.
Then, it's to the home computer lab to brush up on issues that came up during the day, maintain my own systems and server, or whatever.
Then it's to bed at 1am or 2am.

On the weekends, starting Friday night, I usually never see the bed. I watch a lot of movies on the weekend and tend to have a lot of 'Mini-Naps' on the couch instead of actually ever going to bed on the weekends. Scattered within this is a lot of time in the computer room, of course.
Is anyone else this strange?
I have tried to break these habits many times, but I can't seem to. Now that I'm getting a bit older (early 40's) it's starting to wear on me a bit https://forums.windrivers.com/
I contribute some of this to many nights underway on Cruisers and Destroyers, where I never got much sleep either. I was either in CIC on watch (watch supervisor) or doing other shipboard chores.
As anyone in the Navy will tell you, 7 months of Port-Starboard watchstanding will completely screw up your body clock.
It's been 11 years since I had such a strange daily cycle, but it seems to have stuck with me.

I can't _allow_ myself to go over 6.
I've got these damed steel rods, plates and screws in my lower spine, and if I stay in bed over 5 or 6 hours, my spine locks up and it takes me another hour just to get out of bed and get it freed up again.

On average I'll go to bed around 3:00am and get up by 8:00am...that's healthy...right?
I always find myself crashing around 12:30, im back up again at 7, 6.5 hours sleep? Enough for your? I wish I could live off that, I need to be sleeping by 11 or earlier to be able to wake up feeling alive. I'll agree with the rest of the techs, Sunday is the day of recooperation!! I sleep until past lunchtime usually on Sunday's. Hell its 9:30am right now and I still feel like ****, went to bed at 12:20 last night, up at 7. I would sincerely love to be able to stay up as much as most of the rest of you do... I used to. Until I got married. Now, I still pull a rare most-nighter with the aid of Aero bars for caffeine, but it ruins my energy for the next day at work and ruins my patience with the wife & kid.
Maybe if I get out of this @#$% retail trap I'll be able to hack it better...
