I did that to a calltaker at my work. Changed the keypad to look like the number pad and moved the "j" home key one to the right. This guy being a touch typer (except for the keypad) had no clue until after he finished documenting and then reached orbit!

This guy was completely incapable of following instructions!

I am a site manager for a major health care provider and the most dangerous thing I can think of is a doctor with PC access.
I get this at work all the time. If me; or any of the other admin staff log into root on their terminal to do maintenance; they find it odd that their password doesn't work for root.Quote:

I arrive on scene only to find that either one of two things has happened:
1) They're trying to enter their password in the Domain box.
or
2) Someone else used the computer earlier and the current user didn't even bother to look at the login dialog box to ensure that their username was there.

I think it's fairly obvious WHY we make sure that the users' passwords don't match ANY of the superuser's accounts :)
Kind of ironic but I have a Focus FK2001 Keyboard that went bonkers about 2 months ago. No key displays what it is. The keys are all in their right spots and all work. Its as if some one change the character set. It did this over a weekend. The keyboard used to be on our server and I came in one Monday Morn and couldnt log on, Finally change keyboard and all was well. Every once in a while we put it on our demo system just to watch the reaction from the after school PC geniuses. :eek:We just tell them it is a special encrypted that the Feds use to trace hackers....

I beleive people like that shouldnt be within 50metres oif a computer....who knows what she was doing when you told her to delete the PWL files....if she couldnt even hit the keys proper
