Really like the new site layout. Esp. like the Anandtech Topics item and the new Trend Micro a/v listings. I'm still not sure about the three pictures (Virus Scan, Bios Check, Web Search.)
Overall I would rate the new page about a 8.5 out of 10.

Great job DG, new page is awesome....maybe a top 10 most helpful sites list would be a GOOD thing.

Great Job!!!!!! looks a little contrasty but that is cause I am not used to it yet. Much easier to read. Definaly keep news topics. Been my home page for over a year. AHhaa...The more things change the more they stay the same :cool: :cool: :cool:

I'd have agree with ilovetheusers on this one. It only took a few seconds to find the link though. If you're trying to quell the surge of new forum members (10 000 have signed up since I did, in May) then I think this will do the trick. Unless you know the forums are here, you won't find them.
Other than that, as soon as the tears dry up for all the missing avatars, it'll all be great.

Looks great....but I had a heck of a time finding the link to the forums......feel free to leave out the stars and such.....more of a distraction to me ....course that's just my humble opinion. In the machinist news groups I belong to you know who the helpful and technically competent people are by reading the posts.....as I have figured out who to listen to here......by reading the posts..........and learned a lot from reading them.....once again.....looks great...very clean.
Oh my stars and posts are gone. Good. Don't like 'em anyway. Very misleading. Please leave the stars out for good.
I hope you put the avatars back up, but If we need to live without them it's no biggie. Put the names in larger print so they stand out more if the avatars are really gone for good.
Overall everything looks very professional. The colors on the backgrounds kinda make it a little (just a little) difficult to read the text.

Agreed, the site looks great, but this colored background thing hurts my eyes. I usually come to the forums after a long day of working on computers with funky colors on their desktops. I didn't think I'd come home to one.
