i never named any specific program, or suggested anything illegal.
as long as you have the dvd, it is perfectly in your right to download or make your own rip.
oh well.

I read it before it was edited by sowulo :)
It's ok i already knew about it :)
Well I don't think it is quite 500mb (yet!) you could download Steel Panthers World at War. Oh and Sowulo it is a Freeware game so you don't need to edit this!

It is not legal to download a rip for any reason--the rip itself is illegal because someone else did it and is distributing it.....I just love (not) the excuses people invent to justify crap....
its not illegal to have your own copy if you own the dvd yourself.
it may be against the law for the person to mass distribute it, but its definately not against the law to download it from them.
im not trying to start anything here, its just i purposely never mentioned a specific p2p or gnutella program FOR the reason of censoring. I just didn't expect you to censor that....
hmm i was downloading more faces of death stuff and there was a download called banned britney spears commericial, so i downloaded it and i dont see why the hell it would be banned, its good quality mpeg and its a pepsi comerical and it looks like a normal comercial and britney spears looks pretty hot in it.

Sorry gxavier but sowulo is right here. It is illegal to download a copy of the movie. Now if you rip a copy for yourself for "backup" purposes then that's fine.
id like to see where it says that you can't use someone elses rip when you have the same product, just dont want to rip yourself.
id just like to see it with my own eyes.
the same rules would then apply to music, where you download mp3's when you have the cds somewhere in your closet, scratched up to hell.
but the last time i checked, people weren't getting arrested and their ipods confiscated. :/
actually. you know what...dont show me. id like to beable to claim ignorance if it ever comes to it.
:D :p
;)

The rips whether music or DVD are illegal in themselves because someone else created them for illegal purposes. Yes, it is illegal to download copyrighted music too. Have you never heard of "Possession of stolen property?" Just because everyone does it.....End of conversation.
