I grew up directly next to Camden. I always went through there, even worked there for a bit. Not untill I moved out of Gloucester (right next to Camden), that I noticed how bad that area is.
"What do mean you don't lock our doors & leave your kids toys outside?!?!? That's insane!!"
Funny to think about.

Ha,
I know what you mean about the lock doors. Grew up in Fairton, NJ (Cumberland county), very quiet but no jobs unless you want to work in a factory or your dad owns a farm or nursery. And I still know for a fact that some people don't lock thier doors now. I live near Camden now but I have some cushion even though my Honda was stolen a few months back and ended up in well you guessed it-Camden.

Yea, some people think I am paranoid when it comes to security.
My wife is always making fun of me, but when you have your house broken into more than 4 times in a month & run the risk of getting into a fight if you walk to the store, well you just become paranoid!
I used to carry a knife EVERYWHERE! Not because I was scared, just because lots of us did. Haha. Funny now.

So you a commuter now? Is it that dreaded 295->42 commute to get some breathing room? Man I did that for a while but I just got fed up. If you know of any places that are like 20-30 minutes out of Philly that have some quietness (I know I can't get the land in Burlington Co.) and safeness let me know.
I was thinking looking a little north like Southampton, Winslow, Medford, etc. but I have no idea what the areas are like around here. My ultimate place to live would be where I was able to have a place where I can "piss" in my yard and noone see. That's enough breathing room for me but I don't know if I can find that or something close to that up here without being rich $$$$.

Well, I used to be in NYC (#133 most dangerous) now I'm in Princeton which is 15 minutes out of Trenton so I guess I'm #21. Damn, and Princeton, NJ is so pretty, guess I'm still a New Yorker at heart. Anyway, a city with more than 7 million people is still safer than a city with 1/100th of its population. Now that's something.

Princeton is pretty nice, my wife and I have friends who live in that area Windsor).
My vote for the most dangerous place would have to go to Newark. The Car -Jacking capitol of the world!

I would have gone with DC muder capitol, but I guess they are so busy voting for crack head mayors and killing each other they don't commit other crimes. :)

Yeah, Newark. I've had friends that have been politely asked to vacate their vehicles in Newark. That was not cool.

OMG- I live in Brick Township!
#323!
Oh no!!!
:D
Seems pretty safe to me. Do they count domestic violence?
If they do, I'm suprised Highlands, NJ isn't on there...
Post note - That means its the 5th safest community of all communitys over 75,000 people. Cool!
Not bad for Herbertsville, Bricktown, and Leisure Village!
Dover TWP (right next to us) is the 18th safest. Very nice.

You city slickers ain't seen danger until you've traveled the dirt roads of Mt. Jackson, VA.

A bit of advice...Stay away from guys with no teeth playing the banjo while wearing overalls, they might make you squeel like a pig.
