update:

it happens when either machines reaches exactly 40 degress celcius.

i think its a monitoring glitch
i've duplciated the prob on both machines now

gonna see if i can reproduce the problem numerous times

nope that was a fluke

hmmm... maybe it is heat since i've been running my system without the cover it hasnt had a problem for the last 3 hours. the other system which also has the cover off has locked up several times.

I wish i could nail this problem down.
