I would have to say I have 3 favorite components
1.My Plextor 8x4x32 (I wish it was faster, but for under $100 I won't complain)
2. My M$ Intelimouse Explorer (The cadilac of mice)
3. My iomega external usb zip 100, works for all my computers for one low price(now that they released the new win2k/xp drivers)

I'm liking my new HP Deskjet 845c printer. In the 20+ years of computing for me, I've never actually owned a printer before, and now I finally have one. And I love printing out color pics of naked chicks (that rhymed,... haha).

Plextor 16x or my GF3 Ti200 (soon to O/C, rumored to hit near regular GF3 speeds with no problems)
My favorite three components are the components I never skimp on when purchasing. Not even a little.
Enermax Power Supply - the first one I bought saved me major trouble shooting pains by clearing up a rebooting, locking, and BSOD problems. I reccommend them like crazy and try not to build a machine without one (I always honor a customers wishes though)
Name brand High Quality RAM - Crucial, Kingston, Mushkin. I always pay more because I've had more than a few generic sticks cause all sorts of problems.
Motherboards - Abit, Gigabyte, ASUS. I learned my lesson with the low end amptron boards and other PC-CHIP companies. I would RMA boards and the replacement boards would either have the same defect or something entirely different was screwed up.
It's funny because I used to always go for the fastest processors, best graphics card, and sound card. I just figured that motherboards are motherboards. Same with PS and RAM. Now I build on a solid base realizing that there is not that much REAL WORLD difference between the most expensive processors, video cards, sound cards and their middle of the road counterparts.
just my 2 cents.
1. MS Intellimouse Explorer Optical. I use this at work and it has the perfect shape for my hand so I don't have to use a wrist rest. I also love the 2 thumb buttons to go forward and back in IE/Explorer.
2. Those old-school IBM keyboards. You know the "clackey-clackey" ones. Every keystroke registers straight and true (if only my typing skills where as good). Plus, it can take quite a bit of abuse during moments of extreme frustration.
