I myself have fought this issue tooth and nail with my parents in the past ( even though i am not a hacker in any respect ) I finally won the war when I offered to pay the electric bills.

You see I actually have a friend that his parents would take that all for fact. and most likely would start a crusade to burn all computers. Well, I'm assuming that this is for real.
That guy's son isn't a hacker, he's a phreak (no offense to any phreaks out there). Light sticks and pacifiers? Gimme a break here.
Also, that BS about his son getting elecromagetic poisioning is dumb. Short term memory loss? Doing bad in schoolwork? New friends? The kid's on pot.
The kid's telling his dad to back off and stop smothering him? Hell, I'd be worried about the kid if he wasn't saying that. The dad's got issues with his teen daughter "sneaking off on a date with makeup and perfume". W.T.F.? Is he upset over the date or the makeup? The guy's such a tightwad it's probably both.
Also, I've got a problem with his use of the word "son" and "him". Is there some genetic defect with chicks that they can't use computers? I'm sure you guys will have enough to say about the computer side of things, so I'm just taking the human angle. Anyways, dumb people like this should be nuetered and placed on the Island of the A$$holes.
