Anyone thinking of choosing the Lions should think about one thing... The Lions have been very close in their last six games. Batch is the biggest reason why (he;s learning the offense well). Batch is out. MacMahon is talented, but young and not enough experience with the team. He;s looked good in the cupla quarters he;s played, but he hasn't started and played a full game yet. If he can;t complete a game, who do they have? Detmer. A veteran yes, but still can't play in the NFL. Don't go with the LieDowns this week. Or next either. That is all.
Remember the game that Detmer threw 7 interceptions? I swear my *** hit the floor before I started to laugh when I heard that. I thought my brain was going to explode. That ranks up there with the greatest moments of my life.
It'll be an ugly game for Detroit if Detmer goes in and is that interception prone. The Bucs do tend to collect interceptions and fumbles rather well. Kinda think the Lions arent going to win though the win will definetly be by 3 or less for the Bucs.

The Bucs are favored by 8. That's rediculous. The Bucs can't cover an 8 point spread. I pick The Loins (no typo) plus the 8 in this huge mistake. Plus, The bucs ain't all that this year. Warrick Dunn is the only weapon they have. Sh!t, the Loins might win this one outright.
GO RAMS!!!!!
Hi Friends,
I will be placing the bet in a couple of hours. Looks like I see "Lions" most. BTW I believe spread is down to +8.0 (atleast where I play).
How about Washington over Arizona (spread is nil "pick em")?
I still kind of like Cleveland +5 and that Jets is a little tempting esp. if Bettis is out. Jets coming off big loss like Pats coming off big win. I haven't checked yet to confirm that Bettis is out but I will.
BTW. I'll take Miami Hurricanes and the spread no matter what the spread is (Vegas giving of course I won't give 100 points) and no matter who they are playing.
D
PS. Do you know the pain of being a Cowboys fan right now? Oh well we'll see ya in 4 years.

I wouldn't touch Arizona-Washington with a ten foot pole made of money.
I don't know about Cleveland either... The Pats are too unpredictable for me lately.
4 years? Is that when you're goig to give up on them? An don't complain, at least you're not a Bills fan. We've got no upside. We can't even say we're losing close games either...
I can't stand betting on the NFL this year, too many teams are too unpredictable for me. No matter what Oakland does, I can never gamble on them, the same goes for Minnesota, Tampa Bay, and any New York team (any sport).

Ha, Never jumping ship. I've seen it before with a wonderful 1-15 season in '89. My buddy is a Bills fan. I think he wanted to kill me during the SuperBowl (BILLS=Because I Like Losing SuperBowls). Gotta like the Jills though. We were going to go up there one weekend to check a game out. Figured they wouldn't let us camp in the parking lot. he.
I've been doing ok in picks this year, but does seem to be more unpredictable. I hate the salary cap!
I still think the Raiders are going to go to the big show. I like Gruden.
D
The Raiders should go to the Superbowl, but they should have gone lsat year, and the year before that, and the year that guy with the crazy cannon was the QB (his name escapes me at the moment) and Napoleon Kauffman was at his best. Bah, I can't rely on those jokers.
On a related note, has anyone ever reliably bet on Seattle? Haven't they been preseason favorties in their division for each of the past 9 years?

Funny you say that, I was thinking the same thing. I started rooting for the Seahawks when they became a team and talk about disappointment. Atleast when the Cowboys are bad they are real bad and when they are good they are real good.
Seattle is the most inconsistent team. I thought it was because of that Jekyl and Hyde named Kreig who on some days looked like an All Star and the very next game made you wonder who let this guy in the league.
Guess not though since even without Kreig they are the same inconsitent team they always have been.
Why did I start rooting for Seahawks, well they were new and I like thier colors and helmets for some reason. Also like you said they were always "hunting" for the playoffs, gave me something to root for. But now I know the truth.
D
Yeah, I like the Raiders too. Almost so much that I was about to buy a Raiders baseball hat so I could be an old-school thug like Eazy-E.
But they kinda dissapointed me in tha tloss to Seattle. The one game that i was sure they would win, they went and F@#@'ed me. Damn Vegas line.
Go Packers!!!!!!
Name a great Seattle Quarterback from the past 10 years. Uhhh... Well... When did Warren Moon leave? Even though Holmgren seems to think that Hassleback is his man, he's looking like more of a Hassle than anything.
It'll be interesting to see what he does when Watters comes back. If he were smart, he'd play Alexander yet, but we know that's not the case.
Alright placed the bet.
Go Lions, well atleast lose by under 7.5 (went down ugh).
Don't need my legs broken now. j/k
