How many burned cd's do you have?

I've got 6 right now--just drivers and backups. I've burnt hundreds but give them away constantly as part of my work making driver/update disks for clients.

Does a Backstreet Boys CD that i light on fire count? > <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

i dunno....probably about 100 or so...lotz of appz and mp3's <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

don't think i could even count them. every driver i download, i keep and burn to take in the field, it always changes so i have to burn new cd's in order to keep them current. i have pristine backups of my new pc clients' original o/s, software and drivers to run a restore without the hunt for their OEMs and hard to get stuff if they have to net connection. i back-up all our business software and put the originals in a fire-proof box. as far as what else i have on cd, mostly web site and work related back-ups on rw's and a nice collection of graphics and wavs i have collected over the years on the net. that is just in the office, at home i shudder at the thought of all the junk i put on these little, shiney, round disks. i am a burn-a-holic and am seeking treatment in a 12 step program that i hope that will be started on this site along with net-a-holics, computer-work-a-holics, coffee-a-holics and selfinflicted-overtaxed-underpaid-oftentired-stressjunkie-a-holics.

Bout 20-30. I tend to discard ones I don't need. I mostly use them drivers I keep having to go find and tranferring data files and some document archiving. I'd like to pickup a Zip of Jazz drive to transfer files. They're pretty slick.

My collection probably numbers around 500, but my primary reason for replying was . . . I love that tagline! I just caught part of "The Crow" again a few days ago, for the 30th or so time. That should be more like, "How many UN-burned CDs do you have?" I just bought 500 blank CDRs so I could add them to my collection. I think I've burned a total of 15 CDs on this one drive.

Since I got my WORM drive in 1994 I have over 1200 I have burned, I commemorated my 1000th burning by copying a Packard Bell restore CD of Win95 OEM 4.00.950 and actually burning it with fire and the whole bit... we set the PB computer on fire too... haven't decided what number 2000 will be but Norton Systemworks is in the running if they're still in business then. BTW I only use about 10-15 of them regularly, and I don't copy discs for sale, all 1200+ copies are for personal or shop use.

If you include both data and music CDs, I have way too many to count. If I had to estimate I would say somewhere around 200. even though I have that many I would say your pack ratting with that much on hand.

Well, i've burned well over 100 discs and I've already chewed through 12 of the 50 pack i got last week. But for some reason I don't have very many to show for it, but i never make a coaster. Actually now that i think about it, where the f#&% do they all go? Oh well my new cd binder should help me keeps tabs on them.

Speaking of which what kind of coaster/ good disc ratio are you guys running at?

I have about 4 that I use consistently, and about another 3 that are backup/archives. I'm always playing with the system, one day it'll be linux, then next day win2k and then back to 98 for a while before changing again, so I keep up to date backups of all my utilities, scripts, mp3s, and er.....*cough* jpegs *cough*
