Yeah kingtbone,
Lions keep covering the spread. They are the "secret" pick of the year. Becoming a bookies nightmare, that is to all the insightful.
What's up with the Patrioits? I am still having trouble believing they are doing that good.

I call it a gambler's dream. Overrated teams and Overrated players make for good gambling. In this case, overrated Drew Bledsoe went down with an injury, and an adequate player stepped up to the plate. It'll happen more often than you think in any sport. We also got a glimpse of it when that guy started for Culpepper this week. My next picks to watch out for are Peyton Manning going down, and maybe Jake Plummer as well.
good point KingT. I'm seeing manning going down. He's definatly lost something this year. I know that James is out and everything, but the Quarterback should be able to compensate for that. Miami wins tonite outright. 24-16.
I'm just saying that the week Manning gets injured, I'm putting good money on the Colts.
Whew,
Glad I stayed away from last nights game. Almost played it.
What is up with them? I picked Colts vs. TB to go to the Bowl (Note: This pick was placed BEFORE the season started, since as we all know hind sight is 20/20).
I knew the D was questionable since atleast last year but I figured the O was high octane enough to offset this. Perhaps losing James was a huge loss.

Ok, I just watched the news last night and apparently Dennis Green (aka Fat Dumb) is going to put Daunte Culpepper back in this Sunday.
Ok, now what the hell is wrong with leaving Brad Bouman in as QB for the time being? It's not like the Vikings' season can get any ****tier. Two weeks ago Bouman nearly led the team to a comeback victory over the Steelers and last week he threw for 350yds and 4 TDs for a nice victory over the Titans. Now Green feels that his prodigy, Culpepper, will be healthy enough to play again. I say f*ck'em cause he hasn't done sh!t for this team all year except running the ball because he's too afraid to throw it... or he throws it and it's an interception that looks as if he purposely aimed for the other team's players.
Why can't they get rid of Green?!!
I think Green is on borrowed times. I will be very surprised to see him there next year.
Did you hear Moss' comments? I know he is a great athlete but I would've benched him.

PS What do you call a Minnesota Viking with a superbowl ring?
A THIEF j/k
Oh my god I just saw the score of the game. 41 points for the Dolphins? What the? How the?
As for the Minnesota thing, Bouman did have a HUGE game this week. Culpepper may be in that class of guys who got a bit overrated, and his replacement came in and did all the right stuff.
Thanks to the Dolphins, and their 41 points, I won the office pool for the week!
Yeah KTB, it reminds me of when Rich Gannon got injured and Randal Cunningham took over for the rest of the season and the Vikings went on to have a 15-1 record. The funny thing about that is our only loss that year was to , I believe, the Detroit Lions who are now winless this year.
I read in this morning's paper the Red McCombs (Vikings owner) is happy with Dennis Green's performance this year. God I despise that man.

Funny story actaully, when I first typed that up, I put this example in. I edited it out because after reading it back I didn't really make enough sense. Wasn't it Brad Johnson though? 1998?

Your actually right on that. I noticed it later on during the day and was too lazy to correct myself.
The year after that was when Johnson got traded to the Redskins and he did quite well there. It seems that the Vikings have been producing alot of QBs lately that work better for other teams, I wish we would just hold onto them for once.
Oh well, what can ya do. :D
Indeed it was Brad Johnson. Gannon was with the vikings but that's been a quite few years ago.
I agree with leaving Bouman in for the remainder of the season up there. What is it really going to hurt.
Minnesota won't make the playoffs even if they win out. You've got a starter who you think is your future QB but has been banged up all year and has shown this year that he may be succeptible to injury. Bouman has played great and is clearly capable of leading the team. Even if he is your backup next year and beyond, He will certainly benefit from the game experience and extra snaps.
For as much sh*t as Belicheck (SP?) has gotten from Bledsoe and some media in New England, he made the right choice leaving Brady in there. Bledsoe has shown year in and year out, that's he a great talent. But he's immobile and seems to make bad descisions at key moments of the game. All they really needed was a quaterback who would be smart with the ball. They got that in Brady.
Dennis green is probably fired after this season. Extraordinary circumstances or not (Stringer's death and Smith Retiring) He's done a bad job managing what still should have been a playoff team. Same goes for Mora in Indy.

Well...the only reason that Detroit didn't beat the ViQueens at the MetroZit earlier is because of a case of horrible clock management in the final minutes of the game. Detroit has lost some close ones this season, so I wouldn't count them out.
Heh...maybe Moss has learned to keep his mouth shut.
I feel really sorry for minnesosta fans that that think bauman should get the start. If I were Denny Green, there's NO F"N WAY that I would start bauman. Culpepper is the man in Minn. They built the team around him. You can't have your main man on the bench becuase a one shot wonder boy had one good game against a horrible pass defense. The problem on the Vikings team is not Culpepper or Moss. The problem there is Cris Carter. What a whinny B!tCh that guy has become. When he gets off the field and starts chewing out his QB for not completeing a few passes, do yo uthink that helps? Of course not. Poor Minnesota. With a cancer like Chris Carter on the team, they have no hope.
The line is in for Sundays game. It tells me Minnesota is favored by 3. I'd stay away from this one, but If I HAD TO pick, I'd take detroit plus the 3. They've been covering the spread all year and my gut tells me that they just might win this one.
