Wow...this thread brings back many happy memories. I was a real fan of the model kits by "Monogram." In one summer, and as much as my grass-cutting income would allow, I was addicted to building every WWII Navy plane that Monogram offered. [Perfectionist to the point that I'd vaseline the props so that the breeze coming in the window would actually turn them, hanging them on black threads from the ceiling, and using a needle heated over a candle to make "bullet holes."]
Wow.. cool :)
I havent played with a model since I was 17... her name was.. oh, hang on.. Im missing the point :D

Pak, I used to live at Myrtle Beach before they closed that base and I really miss those ugly little planes! Got a large scale one in the works now and it's gonna have "MB" tail markings (354th TFW).
Kewl weazel! I'm not sure which one I'm getting. He told me he had one that a customer ordered a while back and never came in to pick up. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. :)

Geez Tacklebox it's ironic you bought your dad the Tripitz, one of my Dynarama's was of the Bismark (Tripitz sister ship), Prince Eugen, HMS Hood and HMS Ark Royal (couldn't find the Prince of Wales). It took me 6 days to finish that thing! That was 30 yrs. ago I have no idea what happened to it. :( :D

It probably got thrown away just like all my models did when I had gone into the service
