I can't believe this dead-horse topic is being beat repeatedly. There aint much of a horse left anymore! Look at the rules, which can be accessed by clicking on "RULES" at the top of the page. Here is a quote from the rules page:

Which I have to completely agree with. Cmon people! The primary purpose of these forums is about people helping people. Everytime we lose sight of that, the boards go down the tubes.

Like Sowulo said: Don't forget that Scott runs this site the way he sees fit, and undoubtedly the owners have their say on how it's run, too. So don't get on the mods case, they have a tough enough job and I know first hand the BS they have to put up with. Click on the link in my sig below if you don't believe me. IMHO the mods here do a fine job, and no matter how good they are, they're not perfect. Just like a referee or umpire in a sporting event. So cut your fellow human being some slack.

If you would have read all the threads starting from midnight last night, you would understand, and not think that this is a "dead horse".

Can there be a web page built that will allow all forum users, over a 2 week period, to put in basic suggestions on things that could be done to resolve the problem? Something with pre-defined suggestions derived from this topic? I like this forum, and I know that some things will go apparently unnoticed. This isn't one that will die without some effort to resolve it. I won't openly disagree with anyone on this yet. So I'd like to know if someone can work up a simple web page that will allow the users of the foums to put in a vote of a request for some changes that will make people happy. DG will probably have final say in things, but it will give him a beeter understanding of it's main users feelings toward certain things.

I don't know what the h*ll is going on around here. I am so confused.
I am reading what is in this thread and there is one thing that I fully agree on. Public ratings suck. I personally don't care how many stars I have or how many posts. I don't care how many anyone else has. I never paid attention to it. I read the post and move on with my life. I do not dwell on what is said or done on the internet. I move on. This is the World Wide Web. That means you have billions of people out there that could potentially say something that might make you feel bad. Live with it. <IMG SRC="smilies/mad.gif" border="0">

By the way I think that too many posts are getting closed or edited. This is not my decision. This is based on guidelines that DG setup and those are probably based on what the owner of the site wants.

As for bashing the mods, I never had a problem with any job that someone does for free.
