<strong>As far as the downloading music is concerned, I am happy as is. I have not bought a CD in the past two years since I started to burn my own. The two exceptions to these are CDs that were put together for charities. I feel no pain about it either. I am sure these people are getting the compensation when they charge $85 a ticket for lawn seats at their concerts.
I have to agree with Rosie O'Donnel when(in one of her better statements) said, "A person only needs to be so rich."</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Trebuchet MS, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Robin Hood still lives...... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

Since then we've got Reload (songs that weren't good enough to be on Load), Garage Inc. (all covers), and S&M (their own songs screwed over with an orchestra). I used to be the biggest Metallica fan out there, and was thrilled when they got the deal in 1996 to make 5 new albums, releasing one every year and a half. I am no longer such a fan, because we now have 4 of those 5 albums with only one being quality original material. Both sides of the .mp3 debate have legitimate points, but Lars just alienated the fans that still had faith. I think the whole Napster issue is what caused Jason Newsted to quit the band. He was also originally a fan. :( :(
BTW - The Eminem song is really good. Cool video too, but I dig anything with a fat Elvis on the toilet. :D

Welcome to the GRAY AREA
I consider myself a casual music listener. I like to listen to music in my truck and sometimes while on the computer. I mostly listen to streaming audio from the internet but I do have a few hundred MP3's. I DO NOT buy CD's, it is not because I burn CD's. I just don't buy them. What is the diffance between recording from the radio? I may be the excaption, but I don't buy concert tickets, merchandise, CD's or anything. I just listen to music...
