Serious Poll - CDRW??

HP : Very good ones. Never had any particular problem with them. Both of my HPs are still working fine.

Plextor : Just the best.

I got a Plextor 16/10/40 about 5 mo ago. Have burned about 400 cds since without a single frisbee. Good enough for me.

All your CDs are belong to Plextor :D

I've had an HP for about 1 1/2 years and like it. It's been a good burner. I would recommend Plextor though. From my dealings with their products, they are the best and very reliable.

Never found anything HP have made in the last 5 years or so to be that reliable myself, esp inkjets, I'd go with the Plextor.

One of the Uni's burner's is an HP, and they've had more bother with it than you can ever imagine, that said, they probably just messed up setting it up.

Interesting. We have 3 HP printers, 2 HP Pavilion PCs, 2 HP scanners, 2 HP CD-RWs and 1 HP Digital camera. Never had any probelms with any of them (the only problem was with my old digital caera, but it got rather wet...)

I'm sorry but that is so not true. That's like saying that hondas and chevrolets are the same just different body styles. Yes software plays a big role but when it comes down to it it's how well the drive is put together that defines how well the software will run. IMO.

True, quality is definately an important factor. But if one play's nicely and takes good care of it, then even the cheapest of models can last a long time. BTW, I wouldn't say it would be like comparing honda's to chevy's (that's apples and oranges), it would be more like comparing honda's to hyundai's (identical cars, but one costs more because of the brand name.) :D
