Well, I tried InCD, and it seems to work OK. It had support for DVD-RWs, which Direct CD doesn't have. I understand that version 6 of Direct CD will have it. Until then, InCD is good enough.
EDIT: Just downloaded the 5.3.4.2 patch for Easy CD Creator - it added DVD-RW support. Seems to work OK.

By the way I don't ever go by Chris. I think it's because as a kid there was this bully named Chris and every time someone called me Chris it reminded me of him. :). In summary my innner child is wounded every time people call me Chris :). No actually I don't think he pounded me all that many times, but I just didn't like it. However if you don't already please be sure that when you meet people and they save my name is "David" or whatever don't say okay nice to meet you "Dave", because they just told you what they wanted to be called and it wasn't Dave.

FYI packet writing software are not always compatible with each other when playing back disks written in another program, example inCD may not play on a machine with DirectCD. If you plan on using your discs on a variety of machines you may want to burn your cd-rw as cd-r and when necessary re-format them to change them. Mt. Rainier is supposed to fix all this as well as be much faster. Here is a link to read about it HERE.

You're absolutely right, I can't wait for Mt. Ranier to be commonplace. Only then will we truly replace floppies, in spite of companies like Dell and Apple deciding not to include 3.5" drives. By the way I grew up with Mt. Ranier always off in the distance. I used to live in Washington state, but now reside in Cali.
