Yeah, but yours has IDE RAID, and SCSI on board, that more than makes up for the trade off. The only thing really special about the ASUS is that it supports the Hyper threading with the CPU’s that do offer this...Quote:

I see the argument about a-bit making crappy mobo's and I used to feel the same way but I don't now.
I had a kt7a-raid board that threw me off to A-bit and I had nothing but problems with the board. it never ran at the right speed, none of the options workerd and it was fast but not nearly the screamer that everyone pointed it out to be. It was unstable too.
It was like that for a year or two and finally my PSU died in the machine it was in and i got a 400watt jobbie that is a lot more stable and lo and behold the thing is now operating perfectly. In fact, it's OCed and it's performance is simply amazing. A 1.2ghz athlon t-bird with sdram is almost as fast as my 2.0ghz p4 with ddr ram.
In retrospect the board had zero problems but my powersupply did. I would never have thought that It could have cause an issue like freezups when setting the northbridge timing more aggressivly or being able to operate at a 133mhz system bus but it did.
Also, the A-bit website has always had bios and driver updates (though not always easy to find) and other information about this board letting me know that they actually gave a damn about the end users who might be having issues. With the smaller manufacturers they almost never put out driver or bios updates of any sort.
My brief experience with ASUS has lead me to believe them a top notch company as well. my home systems will be running their boards for some time to come and my next decent system I buy will likely be powered by one or the other.

It says "On board SCSI: Yes". You mean that the board doesn't have SCSI? I thought it was funny that they only offered 40 pin connectors for SCSI, and not 68. That must be the SATA...:D
