Never had a high enough post count to enter the steam room when it was hear.
From the postings of several members though, I can say that I was probably lucky not too have gotten into it.
Clam said it best when I proposed the SR, "this is a bad idea". Turns out it was after people used it to fight more than share dirty pics. What happens when you put 50 genuis level IQ people in the same room with no controlls? The same thing as when you put 50 idiots in a room with no controlls...
Honestly though the boards have changed the "core membership" in squabbling before the SR ever opened. Heck Scott had a "darin please come back" wmv on the opening page for a week way back in the day. People come and go. "Other places" pop up, go away, poup up again, go away again, pop up again over and over. How many other boards has WD spawned - 3 at least (that I know about).
