I got some nasty motrolla modem from them and it would drop conenctions all the time and it replaced 3 times. I ran a new cable from out side to the modem (inside) and it didnt help, so I bought a nwe modem and its been work fine ever since

I love my motorola, I'm on Adelphia and get kickass speeds and hardly ever drop connection.

Which Motorola was it?

Seems like broadband .. above the 1mbit barrier!

Gonna have to chat with Comcast. I'm paying for 3.5 Mbps down and 384 up. This was the best result I saw. :sad:

Just remember that cable is shared bandwith (like being on a hub versus a switch). So if your neighbor was downloading the redhat 9 iso's while you took the speed test it could effect the results. Plus IP in general will have some overhead. Cheers.

true butm not by much, i havnt seen really any effects of multi users on the cable service
