How offended could anyone really be over Master/Slave anyway. Only techs/geeks would use it in conversation, and they would understand the terminology. Plenty of engineering professions still use the term slave. It's not just for oppressed masses any more.

I am truely shocked by some of the attitudes here! This is clearly a problem that has been ignored for far to long... Its about time they cleaned up some of the references. As a matter of fact, I think they should expand this list to include:
"Software"
"Hardware"
Who do they think they are kidding! We know what that REALLY means. If the PC manufacturers think for a second they are gonna sell more equipment by referencing everything towards sex, they got another thinkg coming....

I agree with diver01, we need to expand this. I feel dirty whenever I have to put RAM in the slot. That just makes me feel dirty.

This story has gotten so nuts that the sports station here is talking about it. They went so far as to use the dictionary to show how insane this is. They say it is another sign that we are done as a society.
