Many moons ago I had this conversation with him & he says its the design considerations, the main difference being that American cars will generally have 33% more internal weight to deal with, than one in Europe & 40% more than expected in Japan ... so my conclusion is that you are all 'lard arses' & deserve rubbish cars, as that's all you 'fit in' anyway ... :grin:
